How to get rid of Lime scale from Taps/FAUCETS

Lime scale is one of the most annoying things to remove from taps/Faucets. If you scrape it hard, it can damage the surface. It is a white chalky buildup that consists of Calcium Carbonate, caused due to hard water left standing on taps. It deposits on the taps/shower heads etc. making it look ugly.

However, with little effort and pocket-friendly ingredients available at home, you can get rid of limescale and make your taps sparkle. The transformation using these remedies is going to surprise you.

Try out these simple yet effective ways:

• • Apply White Vinegar on a paper towel and wrap it around the affected area. Leave it for a few minutes. Now scrub the area using the brush. Wash the tap with clean water and wipe it using a microfiber cloth. White vinegar is a natural cleaning ingredient that has citric acid. It helps break down lime deposits without damaging the tap surface.
  • Take Baking Soda in a bowl and add some Colgate nongel toothpaste to it. Now add a few drops of Lime. Take a toothbrush and rub this solution on the tap. Leave it for a few minutes. Later scrub the tap using the brush. Wash the tap thoroughly and wipe it with a clean towel. Don’t forget to wear hand gloves while doing any cleaning to avoid skin irritation. 
  • Another way is to immerse a cotton cloth in Apple cider vinegar/distilled white vinegar and wrap it around the area affected. Leave it for about 3-4 hours. Ensure that the cloth is well-soaked to clean the affected area. Now use the dish soap/cleaning soap on a brush and scrub the tap/faucet with it. Later rinse the tap thoroughly with clean water and wipe it using a microfiber cloth. Ensure that you do not drop any vinegar marble/granite/stone.
