Tips for Cleaning Microwave
Microwaves are quiet popular in many houses as it makes cooking quicker and easier. However, regular cleaning and maintenance of this kitchen appliance is necessary to make it work flawlessly. It also helps avoid staining or any unpleasant smell building up inside.
If you do not have the time to clean it daily, try doing it once a week. You need not buy any special products to clean your microwave. It can be done using the simple products available in your kitchen:

- If your Microwave is not very dirty, you can clean it simply by placing a bowl of water inside. After putting the bowl, heat it for 5 minutes. The steam formed inside will help clean the microwave. Later wipe it using a dry cloth/paper towels.
- If the microwave is splattered with food and you have not cleaned it for a long time, you must try this method. Take about half a bowl of water and add a few drops of lemon. You can also leave the slice of lemon in the bowl as it will help absorb the foul smell. Now add 1 tsp of vinegar to this solution. Mix it well. Put the bowl in the microwave for about 5 minutes. Let it rest inside for another 5 minutes. Do not open the microwave door in between because it will allow the steam to escape. The lemony steam will help release all the food particles stuck inside. After opening the door, wipe the walls, bottom, and top with a damp sponge to clean it. Later wipe it with a dry cloth.
- While cleaning the microwave ensure that you clean the door and glass properly to get rid of the greasy stains. For doing so, take water in a bowl and add ½ tsp of banking soda to it. Mix it well. Dip a sponge in this solution and wipe the door and glass with it. Later use a dry cloth, and wipe it thoroughly.
- Don’t forget to wipe the exteriors of your microwave using a solution of water and dish soap to make it perfectly clean.
