Glass top stoves provide a sleek and modern look to your Kitchen. But they are tricky to clean and maintain.

Burn on grease and grime can make your gas stove grubby. Since it is an essential appliance for daily cooking, one must maintain it hygienically. Check out some simple tips that can come in handy to clean your stove like a pro.

To maintain a sparkling glass stove:

• • Ensure that you clean the glass top after every use. Grease, spills, and sauces can be difficult to remove if not cleaned immediately. However, you have to be patient till the stove cools down.
  • Remove all the parts of the gas stove(burner grates, rings) and soak them in warm soapy water.
  • Wipe off all the loose pieces of food/dirt on the stove.
  • Take some white vinegar in a bottle and spray it on the gas stove. Generously sprinkle baking soda over the stained area or the entire gas stove. Place a clean towel soaked in warm water on top of it.
  • Leave it for 10-15 minutes. Remove the cloth and wipe off the residue using a microfiber cloth. Now wipe it with a dry cloth.
  • Remove all the detachable parts soaked in warm soapy water and gently scrub them if needed. Later wash them using fresh water and wipe them with a dry cloth.
  • If you do not have vinegar, mix 2 tsp lemon juice with 3-4 tsp water. Pour it on the surface of the glass top. Later scrub using a sponge. Wipe it with a damp cloth.

Some Pointers:

• • Once you remove the burner rings, the burners will be exposed completely. Avoid clogging them with water.
  • Try cleaning the nooks and corners around the burner with a soft toothbrush.
  • If there are stubborn stains on the stove, remove them using a bristled brush, but be gentle.
  • A variety of specialty cleaners are available in the market with a creamy base. If you are short of time, you can buy those. Just ensure that cleaning the stove is a part of your regular chores.
